POLYFUN members attended the XXVI conference of the Italian Association of Science and Technology of Macromolecules held in Torino (Italy) from September 6 to 9.
During the conference, Veronica delivered a keynote entitled “Rethinking epoxy thermosets: from dynamic networks to circular materials”, presenting an overview of the group’s research on the sustainable approaches to epoxy materials. Giovanni presented part of the ongoing activities on biocomposites, with a talk on the “Effect of processing pressure on the interfacial shear strength in short fiber biocomposites: implications for manufacturing“. Gioacchino presented his first results within the POLYNEW project in “Structure-property relationships in biopolymeric cryogels produced by freeze-casting“, and Valentina presented part of the work carried out during her PhD in “Prospective life cycle assessment of tyre manufacturing: evaluating industrial decarbonisation pathway“.
As always, the AIM conference provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with old friends and strengthen ongoing collaborations.
