Biocomposites

We design and develop sustainable biocomposites for diverse applications, with a focus on balancing performance and environmental impact.

Our aim is to create advanced biocomposites by combining renewable polymers with natural or bio-based reinforcements, achieving enhanced mechanical, thermal, and barrier properties, together with tailored biodegradability. By playing with material composition and processing strategies, we seek to establish structure-property relationships that drive innovation in biocomposite design. Beyond optimizing performance, we prioritize sustainability. Our research integrates experimental and modeling approaches with LCA to ensure that our biocomposites are not only high-performing but also environmentally responsible.
